Building an MK Grid Plus plate

Part of our MK Electric range. Every Grid Plus plate is three parts: a front plate, a yoke that holds the modules, and the modules themselves. Match the yoke to the plate size and you can put switches, key switches and indicators side by side on one faceplate.

Front plates and yokes

White and graphite front plates run from 1 to 4 gang. Metalclad plates go further, in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 gang, for commercial and plant room boards. For other grid ranges, see all grid systems. Yokes come in 1 to 4 gang, and there is a 1 gang blank to fill any unused space.

Modules

For lighting there are 10A one way and two way single pole switches, plus a retractive switch for momentary control. For heavier loads there are 20A double pole push to make modules, including a red version, and a 20A two way switch with a red rocker. Two way key switches, including one marked Emergency Lighting, stop the wrong person switching off a test circuit, and a green neon gives you a status light on the plate.
