Cable Ties in Black and Natural

Choosing a size and colour

Length decides how big a bundle you can tie, and width decides how much strength the tie has. The 200 x 4.8mm and 300 x 4.8mm ties, in black and natural, cover general bundling inside boards, trunking and ceiling voids. The 300 x 7.6mm, 370 x 7.6mm and 540 x 8mm black ties are better for heavier cables and bigger bundles. Colour is often a matter of where the tie will be seen, with natural ties common inside enclosures and black ties chosen for visible or outdoor runs.

Getting a neat finish

A tidy cable tie job is quick to inspect and easy to work on later. Pull ties tight enough to hold the bundle without crushing the cable, and trim the tails flush so there are no sharp ends left behind. In boards and enclosures, tie conductors in logical groups so each circuit is easy to trace. Where cables run along a surface rather than being bundled together, clips or banding strap will usually give a better result than ties, so keep a mix in the van.

Cable ties with live stock

Every pack on this page shows live stock and prices from Moss Electrical in Bridgend. We have traded since 1992 and are rated 4.8 on Google. Cable ties disappear quickly on bigger jobs, especially board changes and commercial fit outs, so if you need several packs of one size, call 01656 765300 to check numbers before you start. It is a small cost on any job, but running out halfway through a board change is a frustration nobody needs, and a quick look at the stock figure here avoids it.
