Adaptable Boxes

Adaptable Boxes and Enclosures

Gewiss enclosures

The Gewiss enclosures here run from a compact 100 x 100 x 50mm box up to 300 x 220 x 120mm, with sizes in between at 150 x 110 x 70mm, 190 x 140 x 70mm and 240 x 190 x 90mm. There is also a surface mounted IP65 enclosure measuring 143 x 210 x 100mm. Larger enclosures give you room for terminals, glands and the bend in bigger cables, while smaller sizes keep simple junctions tidy. Pick a size with space to spare, since a cramped enclosure makes terminating harder and inspection less straightforward.

Wiska PVC adaptable boxes

Wiska PVC adaptable boxes are listed in grey and black, including 85 x 85 x 51mm and 140 x 140 x 82mm sizes rated IP66/67, which makes them a good fit for outdoor and damp locations. There is also a compact 85 x 49 x 51mm IP67 box that comes with terminals. For outdoor lighting feeds, garden supplies and external junctions, an IP rated box paired with suitable glands keeps water out and the connections accessible for future testing. Black versions sit better on dark render or cladding, while grey is the usual trade choice.
