Cable Management

Cable Management: Conduit, Trunking and Containment

Conduit systems

Conduit is still the go to where cables need solid mechanical protection. Steel conduit, such as 20mm and 25mm galvanised tube, suits plant rooms, workshops and exposed runs, and the steel conduit fittings section carries the galvanised terminal boxes, through boxes, tee boxes, angle boxes, U boxes and Y boxes you need to complete the run. PVC conduit is lighter and quicker to work for general installs, and it has its own accessories section for the fittings that go with it. Pick your system and sizes early, because mixing them on site slows the whole job down.

Trunking, capping and support

PVC mini and maxi trunking gives a neat surface finish where chasing walls isn't practical, and each has a dedicated accessories section for the fittings that finish the run. Perimeter trunking, including the MK Prestige range, suits offices and classrooms where sockets and data points run around the room. PVC capping protects cables buried in plaster. For heavier containment, strut framework systems and wire basket handle long runs across ceilings and risers, with Pemsa among the brands in the wider range. Getting containment right first time makes the cable pull far easier.

Live stock for planned jobs

Containment is usually ordered in lengths and quantities, so it helps to know what we hold before you price a job. The stock levels and prices shown here are live stock from our Bridgend branch, not a generic list. Moss Electrical has served the trade in South Wales since 1992, and our 4.8 rating on Google reflects years of steady service. If you are pricing a larger installation, give the branch a call on 01656 765300 and we can talk through quantities across conduit, trunking and fittings.
