Finishing an extract fan installation

A fan is only half the job. This page gathers the parts that carry air from the fan to the outside wall, window or roof.

Grilles

Vent-Axia fixed louvre grilles come in 100mm and 125mm, in white, black, brown, beige and terracotta, so the outside face can match the brickwork or render. Deta adds a 100mm fixed grille plus 100mm and 150mm gravity grilles in white.

Ducting

For rigid runs there is Vent-Axia round solid ducting in 100mm and 125mm by 2m, with matching 90 degree bends and circular connectors, and 110mm and 180mm metal worm drive clips. Flexible options include a 3m 4 inch PVC duct, 100mm by 10m aluminium flexible duct, and insulated duct in 100mm and 125mm by 10m lengths. A short 100mm Easipipe section is also listed.

Outlets and kits

To finish the run outside, there is a 100mm white cowled wall outlet, a 100mm high rise kit and a Nuaire high rise cowl in white. Nuaire also supply a Faith wall plate, a Faith window kit and a Cyfan window kit.
