Blind and open grommets

Grommets protect cable sheaths where they pass through knockouts in boxes, stopping sharp edges from cutting into the cable. Open grommets have a hole ready for the cable to pass through, while blind grommets are closed and can be pierced to suit, or left whole to blank off an entry. The black grommets listed here come in 20mm and 25mm sizes, in packs of 100, which suits anyone fitting a lot of metal back boxes on a rewire or new build. A pack in the van saves a lot of hassle.

Membrane spouts for IP rated entries

Wiska EMT membrane spouts are made for entries into enclosures where keeping water and dust out matters. They are listed as IP66 and come in 20mm, 25mm and 32mm sizes in grey. The cable is pushed through the membrane, which closes around the sheath, making them a quick option on outdoor junction boxes and enclosures where a full gland isn't needed. They pair naturally with Wiska adaptable boxes for outdoor and damp location work, and the grey finish matches the grey boxes.
